What Wood Joint Reference Guide does and how it behaves
This is a browsable reference of wood joinery types, not a calculator: pick or search a joint (dovetail, mortise and tenon, box joint, dado, and similar) and it shows a strength rating, a difficulty level, and where that joint is typically used. There is no measurement input and no cut list output. What people get surprised by is that the strength and difficulty labels are relative comparisons across joint types, not lab-tested load figures, and difficulty assumes standard hand or power tool methods rather than any specific jig setup.
