Privacy Policy

1. Overview

b2KIT.com is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Client-Side Processing

All tools on b2KIT process data entirely in your web browser. No files, text, or data you use with our tools are uploaded to any server. We cannot see, access, or store the content you process.

The one exception is a message you choose to send us with the feedback form at the bottom of a tool page. It is described in section 3.

3. Feedback Form

Every tool page ends with a short form titled "Help improve this tool". Nothing is sent until you press Send. When you do, we receive:

• Your message and the topic you picked
• The page address of the tool you were using (without any query string)
• Your name and email, only if you type them in. They are optional.
• A short browser description (the first 120 characters of your browser's user-agent string), to help us reproduce problems
• A one-way hash of your IP address, made with a secret salt. We never store the IP address itself. The hash is used only to limit abuse (at most 5 messages in 10 minutes and 30 a day from one connection).

Why: to read what is missing, broken or worth adding, and to improve the tools. If you give an email address, we may reply to it about your message. We do not add it to a mailing list and do not use it for anything else.

Where it goes: the message is stored by b2KIT in a Cloudflare D1 database (Cloudflare hosts this site). A copy is then emailed to the bee2.io team through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-to-email service. FormSubmit states that it keeps form submissions for 30 days; see its privacy policy and terms. If we later send these emails through Cloudflare's own email service instead, FormSubmit will no longer receive them.

How long: messages are kept until we have reviewed them and are deleted within 12 months of being sent. The IP hash and browser description are deleted with the message.

No tracking: the form sends no analytics event, and nothing you type is recorded before you press Send. To have a message deleted sooner, contact us (section 10) with the approximate date and the tool page.

4. Data Collection

When you visit b2KIT.com with cookie consent accepted, we collect:

• Page views - which pages you visit
• Tool usage - which tools you use and for how long
• Interactions - button clicks, theme preferences
• Device info - browser type, screen size, operating system

This data is collected through Google Analytics 4 and is used solely to understand how our tools are used and improve them.

If you decline cookies, no analytics data is collected.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use the following storage mechanisms:

• Google Analytics cookies - only loaded if you accept the cookie banner
• Theme preference - stored in localStorage (dark/light mode choice)
• Cookie consent - stored in localStorage (your accept/decline choice)

No third-party tracking cookies are used beyond Google Analytics.

6. Third-Party Services

• Google Analytics 4 - website analytics (only with consent)
• Cloudflare - CDN and hosting (standard web serving, no tracking), and storage of feedback form messages
• FormSubmit - forwards feedback form messages to us by email (only when you send one)
• Google Fonts - font loading (Inter typeface)

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Opt out of analytics by declining the cookie banner
• Clear stored data by clearing your browser's localStorage
• Use Do Not Track - we honor the DNT browser header
• Request information about data collected by contacting us

8. Children's Privacy

b2KIT is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will re-prompt the cookie consent banner.
