What Social Media Bio Generator does, with a checked example
The limits are the story: Instagram bios hold 150 characters, X holds 160, the LinkedIn headline 220, and TikTok only 80. This tool takes a paragraph about who you are and what you do - profession, niche, location, the action you want visitors to take - and returns a separate bio for Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok, rewritten to fit that limit. It counts every character, keeps your key terms, and appends a call to action when you did not supply one. The common mistake is reusing one bio everywhere: a 220-character LinkedIn headline gets cut off in an 80-character TikTok bio.
Worked example
A concrete input and expected output from the current implementation.
Input
I'm Maya Chen, a certified bookkeeper in Toronto. I do payroll, GST/HST, and monthly bookkeeping for small businesses. Contact me for a free consultation.
->
Expected output
Instagram (121/150): Certified bookkeeper for small businesses in Toronto | Payroll, GST/HST, monthly bookkeeping | DM for a free consultation
X (152/160): Certified bookkeeper for small businesses in Toronto. Payroll, GST/HST, and monthly bookkeeping. DM for a free consultation. #bookkeeping #smallbusiness
LinkedIn (117/220): Certified Bookkeeper | Small Business Accounting in Toronto | Payroll & GST/HST Specialist | DM for free consultation
TikTok (74/80): Certified bookkeeper in Toronto | Payroll, GST/HST | DM for a free consult
Each draft keeps the same facts - role, specialty, location, service list, CTA - but compresses them to fit the platform ceiling (150/160/220/80), which is why the counts differ: 121, 152, 117, and 74 characters. The tool also rewrote 'Contact me' into 'DM for a free consultation,' the phrasing that reads naturally on short-form platforms.
