What Link Intersection Finder does, with a checked example
A backlink export shows where links already exist; Link Intersection Finder identifies referring domains present in competitor exports but absent from yours. Provide one list for your site and separate lists for competing sites. It compares the represented domains, excludes those already found in your list, and prioritizes the remaining opportunities by frequency and relevance. The common surprise is that absence means absent from the supplied data, not proven absent from the web. Selected files are processed in the browser and are not uploaded to a server.
Worked example
A concrete input and expected output from the current implementation.
Input
Your list:
https://source-a.example/post
https://already.example/guide
Competitor A:
https://source-a.example/a-link
https://shared.example/page-1
https://only-a.example/article
Competitor B:
https://shared.example/page-2
https://only-b.example/resources
https://already.example/another
->
Expected output
Opportunity domains:
shared.example - frequency 2
only-a.example - frequency 1
only-b.example - frequency 1
shared.example occurs in both competitor lists and not in yours, giving it a frequency of 2. source-a.example and already.example are excluded because your list already contains them; each remaining domain occurs once.
