Torque and engine speed
Rotational power is determined from torque and angular speed. With torque in pound-feet and speed in revolutions per minute, the customary calculation is horsepower = torque x rpm / 5252, with 5252 being a rounded conversion constant. Torque and rpm must describe the same operating point. Combining peak torque with peak rpm from different dyno rows produces a value the engine did not actually reach.
