What Display Ad Size Previewer does and how it behaves

Display Ad Size Previewer places an uploaded image or entered text into supported standard display-ad formats so you can compare wide, rectangular, and tall placements together. It is useful for judging composition, text density, and whether the main message survives a substantial change in aspect ratio. The common surprise is that one layout rarely works equally well everywhere: artwork that feels balanced in a medium rectangle can look sparse in a leaderboard or cramped in a skyscraper. The preview evaluates appearance, not campaign eligibility or publisher acceptance.

How the result is produced

1

Supply the creative

Upload an ad image when artwork already exists, or enter text for a quick message-level preview. The tool presents that material in multiple display-ad proportions, including leaderboard, rectangle, and skyscraper shapes. Comparing the same material across these frames exposes designs that depend too heavily on width, height, or a particular reading order.

2

Review each format

Inspect whether the brand, offer, call to action, and any required disclosure remain understandable in every orientation you plan to use. Treat each frame as a visual size check rather than proof of successful conversion. If a proportion feels crowded, illegible, or excessively empty, create a format-specific composition and preview that version separately.

Good uses

  • Review 728 x 90 leaderboard, 300 x 250 medium rectangle, and 160 x 600 wide skyscraper concepts before delivering size-specific artwork.
  • Check whether campaign copy that fits a wide banner remains intelligible in a tall skyscraper placement.
  • Show stakeholders why one master image needs alternate crops or redesigned compositions for different ad formats.

Limits and checks

  • A good-looking preview is not proof that a publisher or advertising platform accepts that size; available placements and submission requirements vary.
  • The preview cannot establish that small text, disclaimers, or calls to action will be readable at every physical screen size or viewing distance.
  • Visual fit does not validate file-size limits, supported animation, click behavior, destination URLs, tracking, or platform creative policies.

Common questions

Should I upload one image for every ad size?

You can use one image to compare how its composition behaves across the available frames, but that does not mean one source file is suitable for final delivery everywhere. For production work, export separate creatives at the exact dimensions required by each placement, especially when the formats have substantially different aspect ratios.

Does a successful preview mean the ad is ready to publish?

No. The preview helps assess visual composition across display-ad shapes. It does not confirm acceptance by a publisher or advertising platform, and it does not verify payload size, file type, animation limits, landing-page behavior, tracking, or advertising policy. Check the destination platform's current creative specifications before submission.
