What Daily Journal App does and how it behaves

Daily Journal App keeps each journal note alongside a mood selection and tags, then lets you search the entries you have saved. It is meant for recording and retrieving personal daily observations, not for publishing them. The important surprise is the storage boundary: entries stay in the browser and are not uploaded. The journal therefore should not be assumed to follow you to another device, browser, or browser profile.

How the result is produced

1

Record an entry

Create an entry by supplying the journal text and associating the mood and tags you want recorded with it. Saving produces a journal record that can later be revisited as part of the same browser's collection. Mood and tags are annotations you choose; the tool does not derive an objective emotional state from the prose.

2

Find saved writing

Search is for locating previously saved entries within this journal, rather than searching the web or a remote account. Enter a query and inspect the records returned from the locally stored collection. Because the description does not define ranking, stemming, or field-specific matching, treat the results as a retrieval aid rather than proof that no other relevant entry exists.

Good uses

  • Recording a brief reflection and a self-selected mood at the end of each day.
  • Applying consistent tags to entries about a recurring project, habit, trip, or personal concern.
  • Searching earlier journal entries for a remembered name, event, phrase, or topic.

Limits and checks

  • Entries are browser-local. Clearing site data, changing browser profiles, or using another device may leave the journal unavailable.
  • A selected mood is a personal annotation, not a diagnosis, measured emotional state, or automated sentiment score.
  • Inconsistent tag spelling can divide related entries, and an empty search result does not establish that the subject was never recorded.

Common questions

Will my journal entries appear on my phone or another computer?

No. The stated storage model is local to the browser, with no upload. Opening the page on a phone, another computer, another browser, or a separate profile should not be expected to show the same journal. If you need an account-synchronized diary, this tool's described behavior does not provide one.

Can the app analyze my mood trends or assess my mental health?

It can store selected moods with entries and help you retrieve journal records, but the described behavior does not promise statistics, charts, trend detection, or clinical interpretation. The answer is no if you need a measured mental-health assessment. Treat the mood field as a personal label attached when you write the entry.
