Payload type controls the encoded text
Wi-Fi, email, telephone, and vCard choices construct conventional text prefixes before encoding. A scanner decides how to interpret that content.
Create QR codes for URLs, text, Wi-Fi credentials, vCards, and more with customizable size and colors.
How to use
Type a URL, text, phone number, or Wi-Fi credentials.
Set colors, size, error correction level, and add a logo.
Save the QR code as a PNG or SVG image file.
The guide
This generator builds a QR matrix in the browser for a short URL, text value, Wi-Fi configuration, email link, telephone link, or vCard. It adds Reed-Solomon error-correction words, places finder and timing patterns, draws a four-module quiet zone, and exports the canvas as a PNG.
A concrete input and expected output from the current implementation.
Input
https://b2kit.com/
Expected output
A scannable QR image containing exactly https://b2kit.com/
A phone that recognizes the content as a URL can offer to open it. The encoded text remains the URL itself, not a tracking or shortening service.
Wi-Fi, email, telephone, and vCard choices construct conventional text prefixes before encoding. A scanner decides how to interpret that content.
The local encoder supports a bounded set of QR versions and reports an error around 134 UTF-8 bytes. Shorter content also produces a less dense code that is easier to scan.
The image itself has no expiration. A URL inside it can stop working if the destination changes or removes the page.
This browser implementation intentionally supports a limited set of versions. Use a full QR library for longer data, higher versions, or specialized error-correction control.
The example and behavioral notes were checked against the browser implementation. Standards and primary references below define the relevant format, formula, or platform behavior.
