Miter Angle Calculator turns the geometry of a corner into cut settings for two matching pieces. Supply the finished corner or polygon information and, for compound work such as crown molding, the molding's installed tilt. The result separates miter rotation from blade bevel. The frequent mistake is reading the finished corner angle as if it were the saw setting. A symmetric joint bisects the corner geometry, while tilted molding requires two coordinated angles and a clearly understood zero reference.

Miter angle: 45 degrees per piece; bevel angle: 0 degrees
Two identical cuts divide the 90-degree corner equally: 90 / 2 = 45 degrees. Because both frame pieces remain in the same plane, the cut requires no bevel.
